VanDeusen Named President Of Harris

UPLAND, Ind. – Richard “DJ” VanDeusen has been named President of The Harris Waste Management Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Avis Industrial Corporation.  DJ will be responsible for all aspects of the operation and management of Harris, as well as its global product and service offerings.  

DJ joins Harris following a career that includes 20 years with General Electric and 8 years with WestRock with executive leadership experience in operations, supply chain, and finance. Most recently DJ served as Vice President, Finance for Altisource Portfolio Solutions in Atlanta, GA. Gregory King, President and Chief Executive Officer of Avis commented, “We are pleased to have such a gifted leader and someone with a deep background in the recycling industry join the Avis team and lead the charge at Harris.”

DJ holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Siena College and is a graduate of the General Electric Financial Management Program. He resides in Marietta, Georgia with his wife Maureen, son Hunter, and daughter Victoria. 

Harris has been a leader in the recycling industry for over 130 years and manufactures both ferrous and nonferrous processing equipment.  Harris’ products include a diverse line of balers, compactors, conveyors, shears, and shredders that are sold worldwide.  Manufacturing facilities for Harris are in Baxley and Cordele, Georgia, with an additional office in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom.
